I just received my bike and the brakes are making a lot of noise?

With a brand-new bike, there is a break-in period (about 50-100 miles) where different parts of the bike (including the disc brakes) make various sounds and noises. This is completely normal and should go away with the use of the bike.

However, if the disc brakes are too noisy and rub to the point where the wheels stop within a lap or two after you stop pedaling, you may need to adjust them. We recommend waiting until after the break-in period to make the first adjustment unless the friction is severe.

Often, when folding the bike, the brake cable housing can pull out from the caliper and cause the brake to engage. Always check for proper brake tension after unfolding your OULOO eBike.

For brakes that squeal when stopped, we recommend cleaning both sides of each rotor with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag. Make sure the PAS is turned off, and always use extreme caution when working around any moving parts.

Make sure that your brakes are operating well before hopping back on the road.
